Viva L'Afrique!

To Africa and Back

About

I started this blog as a way to document my trip to South Africa to volunteer at the Modgaji Reserve and explore the Garden Route. It would be my first time visiting Africa, and my first time traveling completely solo. The blog begins with my obsessive planning, trying to perfect every detail along the way, but as time went by, I learned to let go and let my travels take me where they would. I’ll continue blogging about the journey on a day-to-day basis, but that’s not where the blog will end. This experience has opened my eyes to the world of blogs – especially travel blogs – and it has become as much a platform for sharing as it has become a place of inspiration for future travels. I have had the pleasure of “meeting” many wonderful world travelers and beautiful people through this blog, and I am always open to meeting more. What made my African adventure so amazing was meeting new people and gaining an understanding of others as our paths cross. I hope this blog helps me to continue meeting new people and sharing their experiences with them through blogging. I hope you enjoy reading and will take away from it the same passion for travel that I have found in writing about these experiences.

And as always, I am already planning for my next adventure.
